Today we have the great pleasure of talking to Miriam Bogard of Assisted Living Locators East Columbus about the “sandwich generation.” What is the “sandwich generation?” It is the term coined for adults who may be at the age where they are caring for both their young children and an aging loved one. According to the Alzheimer’s Association, 16.9% of Americans fall into the sandwich generation currently. We talk to Miriam about the stress and anxiety that can come with being a caregiver to two generations and what resources are available if caring for an aging loved one goes beyond your capabilities and you need to seek other help.
